We would always go to the beach every weekend in the summer in New York as well as in Cali. It's no wonder we all like water. After working grave yard she would come home stay up and cook chicken and boil eggs for us to eat and enjoy. our family had great weekends. what a woman to stay up all night and day. but she was smart too . she made sure that she took a nap at the beach. and even though she napped she still had her eye on us. and if not that she heard everything. way to go mom, thanks for the fun.

Mom and her second husband, Anibal, would visit occasionaly while I was at SDSU. She'd tell me to get all my roommates and friends and invite them over for a home cooked meal. I'd bring 4-5 buddies and we'd eat that awesome Cuban food she'd cook. She would love just watching us to see how much we would all eat.

i always had a great time with my guela. there are so many memories that i can share. she took me on my first visit to new york. where i got to watch my first game in yankee stadium. the day i graduated from high school she held up my "rock the mullet" sign not knowing what it even meant and holding up devil horns which made my fellow class-mates laugh and cheer. my guela taught me so much and i am greatful to have had her in my life. i will miss her may she rest in peace.
